About the Show

"Allrecipes.com What's Cooking?" is an original web series created to highlight the cooks who have contributed the most-loved content on Allrecipes. We believe our community's passion for sharing food experiences has made Allrecipes the world's #1 food site. In each 3-5 minute episode, an Allrecipes' home cook shares the tips, tricks, and stories behind these amazing dishes. It's these incredible cooks and millions more who have made Allrecipes.com the #1 online food destination. Allrecipes believes it is home cooks who should be the food celebrities of the world...the ones who cook every day for family and friends out of love and passion (or sometimes just hunger!).

Join our host Michael as he explores the kitchens of home cooks around the country in this exciting series.

Who is Michael?

Michael Ketchum

Michael Ketchum, host of Allrecipes.com What's Cooking?, and Allrecipes.tv General Manager, started cooking over a fire on a ranch in New Mexico when he was 11. Though originally from Colorado, he now calls the Pacific Northwest home.

"I love to cook, but am somewhat limited in what I make on a regular basis...steak and mashed potatoes, steak and baked potatoes," Michael remarks. "When I heard the story of Chef Tony and Chef Luigi, statuettes our community sends from home to home, I thought it was a great idea. We want to honor what the community started with something that was even more exciting - especially since this dinner guest can actually enjoy the food."

"I love how food brings people together, and I truly believe it's family, friends, food, and community that make the world go 'round," Michael said. "I am so excited to meet the home cooks of Allrecipes on this cross-country adventure!"
